Artist-led.
Atrium is an art consultancy and creative studio that creates, curates and sources exceptional artwork for exceptional spaces.
Art was becoming
an afterthought.
Too much art in interiors is chosen to fill a wall rather than to shape how a place looks, feels and functions. Atrium was founded to offer something more considered: art chosen, commissioned and created in response to the architecture, the environment and the people who will live with it.
It began in the studio. After years working independently as an artist on increasingly ambitious multi-work projects, it became clear the strongest collections were never limited to one practice. Founded by George Pinder, Atrium is an artist-led consultancy with a single purpose: to bring exceptional art into exceptional spaces, and make it part of everyday life rather than something encountered only in galleries.

What an artist
sees differently.
Original work is made here, in our own studio. That changes what we notice, and what we can do about it.
- Colour as it behaves, not as it appearsA work reads differently beside warm timber, polished concrete or reflective glass. We judge colour in the room it will live in, not in isolation.
- How materials hold up over timeCanvas, pigment, varnish, glass, metal and textile each respond to light, temperature and humidity. We choose what will look right, and stay right, once installed.
- Scale, from the perspective of makingWe consider how a work reads from across a room, through a doorway, from another floor. Not simply whether it fits the wall.
- What is possible, and what is achievableWork can be commissioned, reshaped, produced in unusual materials or made for a difficult space, with access, fabrication and installation considered from the start.
- A genuine appetite for the unexpectedArt is the reason the studio exists, not an accessory to it. An artist is more willing to question the obvious answer and pursue an idea until it feels truly distinctive.
How we
work.
It begins by listening.
To the client, the architecture, and the people who will use the space. We study its light, scale, sightlines and materials, then shape a clear art strategy around the brief and the budget.
The right work is found or made.
Produced in our own studio, commissioned from an artist, or sourced through galleries worldwide. We present considered options, each with a reason it belongs and a place it should live.
One process, end to end.
Liaison, acquisition, production, framing, delivery and installation, carried through by one studio. Not a single transaction, but a collection we stay with as it grows.

Art beyond
the expected.
On a wall, within a room, across an entire building or in a moment where nobody expected to encounter it. That curiosity, about where art can live, what it can communicate and how it can transform an experience, is at the heart of the studio.
We source directly from artists and through galleries at every level, from emerging programmes to names of international standing. Where the right piece does not yet exist, we define the visual language with the client and make it in the studio, drawing on more than fifty years of combined artistic experience.

Tell us about
the space.
Where it is, what it is, and what you would like it to feel like. That is enough to begin.
